NAME: Sand, Sun, Serenity…
TYPE: Incentive event
CLIENT: Tourism Australia
BY: Zest Events International
NO. ON ORGANISING TEAM: Three (3)
PAX: 150
BUDGET: Top secret

WHAT YOU DID: Our guests had just completed three days of meetings and activities and were no doubt in need of some good R&R so we pulled out all stops to cater for individual preferences of relaxation. Set at the Hyatt Sanctuary Cove’s picturesque lagoon the Calypso Band set the mood while masseurs worked their magic on the weary guests. For the more energetic delegates beach volleyball, table tennis, sand sculpting and tug-of-war was led by our comical and enthusiastic team leaders. A smorgasbord of food from across the globe was served at food stations whilst waiters served cocktails on the beach. With an idyllic atmosphere and the Gold Coast’s sun at its best, we found that the most challenging part of the event was getting the guests to leave!

SPECIAL TOUCHES: Guests were treated to a vast array of fine foods from around the world cooked by chefs on the spot and pampered by masseurs in Balinese huts that lined the lagoon.

CHALLENGES: The main challenge was to be able to cater to everyone’s needs both culturally and personally.

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES: The inclusion of diverse culinary delights from around the world ensured that all of our guests felt at home with their local cuisine but also had the opportunity to experiment with that of their colleagues. We knew some people would like to unwind by doing very little while others would prefer to get active and blow out the cobwebs. The team-building activities not only provided a stimulus for the more energetic but entertainment for those who were happy to lounge on the beach.
