Qantas update

QANTAS CONTINUES TO FINE TUNE, add to and implement new initiatives in its groups department. mice.net editor Brad Foster chatted to Jacqueline O’Neill, on some of the latest initiatives.

Q. Can you give details of your industry competition? Yes, during the first three months this year we ran an industry competition in conjunction with Carnival. For any booking made to one of our selected domestic or international destinations, any industry member was able to enter to win a fantastic P&O Pacific cruise for two worth over $8000. We have been flooded with entries and great comments about our service and that of P&O. The winner will be announced in mid April.

Q. How was AIME 2005 for Qantas? The whole team at Qantas Group Travel were delighted to win the industry service award at AIME this year.

The award was in recognition for our high standard of facilities and service to the convention and incentive industry of Australia. It is always a pleasure and great motivator to hear that our efforts are praised. We have made great headway with the help of the industry in reviewing our service structure, which now has been rewarded.

Q. You continue to support AIME. Were you there promoting any service in particular?
Of particular interest was the Qantas Conference on line product taking the load off the shoulders of the conference organiser enabling delegates to obtain the best fare of the day with the click of a mouse button! This great product can be viewedon line at:
