If you’re into motivating
staff, rewarding customers, or just having a good time but don’t
have a huge budget then there are plenty of options out there to
satisfy that don’t cost the earth. The Sydney Entertainment
Centre, for example, offers great hospitality packages for
groups. The packages offer a premium seat and dinner/cocktail
component, which vary depending upon the style of show (who is
performing at the Entertainment Centre on the given night).
The venue also has three function rooms which can be used for
groups between 30 and 220. According to Natalie Cutcliffe from
the Entertainment Centre, the beauty of the packages is that the
headaches of waiting in queues to purchase tickets is eradicated
as the Sydney Entertainment Centre purchases tickets up front.
In Melbourne, one of the most impressive venues offering
corporate style hospitality is Marriner Theatres. Beautifully
appointed private suites within each theatre are perfect for
sumptuous dinners or cocktail receptions. Add to this the
breathtaking setting as well as the very best premium A-Reserve
theatre seats and you have the ultimate night of pure
indulgence. In July 2005, the Regent Theatre will play host to
Disney’s critically acclaimed Broadway musical, The Lion King.
Exclusive hospitality packages will be available for this show
as well as Dirty Dancing, playing at the Princess Theatre from
June 16, and Umbria Jazz Melbourne 2005, playing at the Forum
Theatres from the May 5 to the 15. Also in Melbourne, with a
more sporting bent, is Epicure Catering’s new involvement at the
Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Epicure will now operate the
restaurants and lounge bars in the new members areas and for all
midweek function catering requirements at times not associated
with sporting events. The introduction of Epicure will support
the Melbourne Cricket Club’s objective to differentiate the new
members dining and bar facilities to achieve a world-class
hospitality operation.
