institutions. SUVA (Sydney’s Unique Venues Association) boasts
numerous galleries and museums each with their own unique
attraction. Nestled around Sydney’s CBD, many of these superb
venues offer guided tours of current and permanent exhibitions
in conjunction with your event. Enjoy cocktails or dinner in the
surrounds of ancient artefacts, contemporary installations or
even historical Australian vessels.
SUVA is a showcase
of the diversity of Sydney and the many creative alternatives it
offers. Started as an informal association of stand-alone venues
in the 1990s, SUVA today is Australia’s most prestigious
collection of unique venues boasting 58 members. There is no
need to settle for an ordinary venue when you can have the
extraordinary.
Art Gallery of
New South Wales
Located in the Royal Botanic Gardens and close to the Sydney CBD
the gallery provides a convenient, yet tranquil location for any
function. A spectacular cultural institution, the Art Gallery of
NSW offers the unique opportunity to combine dinners, breakfasts
and cocktail functions with viewings of either the Gallery’s
Collection or one of the 30 temporary exhibitions held each
year. Themed with treasures from the collection, the venues

Australian
Museum
The historical Australian Museum founded in 1827 is one of

Museum of
Contemporary Art
The Museum of Contemporary Art has a reputation for staging
unique events catering to every taste. Located at West Circular
Quay, its unique venues capture Sydney’s most commanding views
of Sydney Harbour and Circular Quay. The Harbour Terrace and
Southern Function Room are contemporary venues on the top floor
of the museum with outdoor terraces and views of the harbour.

Located in Darling Harbour the Powerhouse Museum is home to a

State Library of
NSW
Boasting the grand elegance of the historical Mitchell wing and
the modern, versatility of the Macquarie Street wing, the State
Library of New South Wales is a truly unique venue. Centrally

dinners, wedding receptions and cocktail parties. The Library
has facilities to suit anything from 12 to 300 guests.
