A new era for event buyers at Inspire EX
This is the thinking behind the evolution of the critical tradeshow for events in Sydney, the all new Inspire EX – the business of events. The two day event will be held on August 18 and 19, 2014 at the Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island. Inspire EX has been born by taking the greatest elements of the well-known Australian Business Events Expo (ABEE) and Sydney’s Event Showcase – the seminars, the diversity of exhibitors and networking events – and combining them with what the industry really needs – a quality hosted buyer program, interactive zones and unique experiences.

The entire event is designed with the qualified and experienced event buyer at its heart. The floor plan encourages all zones to be experienced, the interactive features entice for longer visits and the seminars are all a ‘must-attend’ session.
IT marketing and events executive Jessica says “The best part about being a hosted VIP buyer at Inspire EX is that I get to know more about what venues are out there. I organise events for lots of vendors and they are always asking me to find new and exciting venues, and ways to make their brands stand out and be noticed.”

The ‘Inspire Sessions’ form the seminar program at Inspire EX. John Daly will be the keynote speaker. Commonly referred to as the `Guru of Special Events Design’, he has built a successful business over 45 years and worked on events for some of the world’s leading celebrities including Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Frank Sinatra and even the Pope.
“I have worked with event budgets from zero to several million dollars, but no matter what the budget, I believe imagination can go a long way. My clients demand perfection, and it is very important, especially in Hollywood, that you set boundaries from the beginning. I feel very privileged to have worked with the most exclusive brands and high profile celebrities, but I would have nothing today if I hadn’t worked with the utmost respect and dedication to their vision, after all it is their event,” Mr Daly said.
Technical event solutions are a particular focus of the show, with TV commentator, Yvonne Adele presenting on social media.
Lumi are the official app provider and are working on a mobile solution for the show that is one of the only apps on the market that can offer real-time polling and interaction. Lumi managing director, Oliver Bampfield, commented: “Lumi is thrilled to be the event app partner for Inspire EX. It will be used not only on the show floor to help delegates navigate round the show, but also in the educational program to allow interaction between the speakers and delegates.”
