The 19th annual MEETINGS NZ exhibition kicked off at the ASB Showgrounds on June 10, with the 2015 outing appearing bigger and better than ever.

Over two days New Zealand’s largest business tourism trade exhibition was jam-packed with more than 6000 meetings, social networking sessions, and venue inspections that connected local, Australian, and international hosted buyers with exhibitors from 18 regions across New Zealand.

A total of 190 exhibitors showcased the best of New Zealand to 187 hosted buyers and media (97 from Australia). Buyers were taken on pre-familiarisation tours across Rotorua, Taupo, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton/Waikato, Queenstown, and for the first time for Australian visitors, the opportunity to visit Dunedin.

The city of Auckland showcased its very best hotel, restaurant, and meetings venues for guests either on the ‘Grand Choice’ or ‘Boutique Choice’ famil followed by lunch at The Maritime Room where comedians ConArtists kept everyone in stitches.

Highlights also included a welcome reception at the Hilton Auckland, a hosted buyer networking dinner at the Auckland Museum, with the grand finale to MEETINGS concluding at Shed 10 where guests were entertained by New Zealand’s best musical and dance talents including musician, Tiki Taane.
